Hi ppl!
Life has been going good. 1st week of sch is sabout to end and it has been a good week. There was absolutely nth much to worry about. Obviously, it was the first week! So, i m guessing we will start some really action in the coming week which will be week 2. Alot of lessons have been cancelled in this week as SP classes are still going under renovation. So, i don't know whether i should be happy or sad? This confusion is because, i get to go home early but at the same time i am losing precious learning hours at sch. Now i know that after cancelling so many lessons, our lecturers will rush for things as even they have to hit a deadline and finish the syllabus. I just hope it doesn't get very hectic and lecturers rush. That will suck...really!
anw, alot of pictures have been posted on fb (from the HITB trip). So, if you guys find the time, chk them out :D
OKAY, i am not going to make this post very wordy like the last one...so here are some pics..Take care ppl...until next time! :D

Hey ppl!
alot of things have been happening lately and once again i am here to revive my blog! haha. So sry.
Anw, got a few things i will update you guys about in this post.
Firstly, HITB event at KL went really well and yes it was a enriching experience. Except for some disturbing personalilites (rubern and daniel should know this).
Now, more about the competition. Well, we left for KL quite early in the morning. Took a 5 hours bus ride there and it was kinda okay, not that bad. We were making fun of esmund and watching movies..(haha..ESMUND WE STILL LOVE YOU!).We reached there by late afternoon and checked in. We had booked 3 rooms and to our surprise, the rooms weren't ready at all! It was really pathetic cause we wanted to dump our bags and get some rest. Then the management there somehow managed to get us one room first where we dumped all our stuff and then moved out for some light shopping and food. Spent the day shopping, eating, roaming around aimlessly and of course, MAKING FUN OF ESMUND AGAIN! :P
Got back to the hotel at about 7pm and then freshened up for a long night's work. Competition was gonna start next day so we had to come up with a strategy and stuff. We gathered in Gibby's room, set up our laptops and network connections and started off.
Next day, we had our breakfast and then headed for the game arena which was actually the hotel's lower lobby. Saw alot of foreigners there and trust me, all of them seemed to be good with computers. We were like feeling kinda nooby at that point of time. Haha, but oh well, what's competition without challenges. There were some hiccups due to which we started off 2 hours late. Finally after waiting for a long long time, we got down to competition. Oh btw, the participating teams were from Korea, Japan, Vietnam, U.S, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
It was quite a good concept whereby we had to bring down the opponent team's utilities and protect ours. The key to winning the game was to launch "nuclear warheads" and submit virtual flags to the judges. The team that submits all the flags or the most no of flags and launches nuclear warheads to eliminate other teams, wins. The next two days went into researching about reverse engineering and some other stuff we never learned about at poly.
I feel this competition has really been an eye-opener for me cause there's defin' alot more to learn than i thought i need to know. I realised that when seasoned professional players were doing stuff we never saw before. The only thing that really pissed me off and actually made me tear is the smoke in the lobby! YES, all the opponents there were chain smokers. So they were working on their laptops trying to hack and crack programs while smoking away cigarette buds. The whole arena was so choky (i don't know if i spelt that right). The most astonishing thing was that it was a 5 star hotel and people were like smoking in air conditioned lobby. God!
We managed to grab the 5th spot by the end of day 2 which wasn't bad at all looking at the degree of competence and complexity. Finally, we wrapped up the whole event and the set up. Our journey back to Singapore felt like an eternity. Although it was the same route and practically 5 hours ride, we struggled through it. The bus was just horrible and then we all were so sleepy. Anways, got back in Singapore about 4pm. Rushed home and zzzzzzzzzz...... haha..you know what that means.
I know this is too wordy, but i don't have the pics right now. We snapped alot of 'em but everything is with Mr. Gibson. Gibby my friend, kindly circulate the pics on fb :D
I have more things to talk about, but i think if i carry on writing. I will really bore you to death! So i shall stop now and do wait for my next post..haha!
Love all
Adios!
